Master Bath in Slate
A No Nonsense Approach

This master bath was a 1970’s addition to a ranch house in the country.  The homeowner had been wanting to update the bath for years but had delayed the move.  Her husband had purchased polished brass fixtures a few years before and she still wanted to include them in her new design.  She had fallen in love with a slate bath she saw when she was a real estate agent so we worked on a design which incorporated both.

The cultured marble sunken tub had become a safety hazard, so it was removed and relocated to an above ground location.  And of course,  the blue carpeting just had to go.  Working with the client’s tastes and existing materials, we were able to create a beautiful updated spa-like retreat.

Below, you will see the before and after images which showcases the transformation.
